The Spaten Brewery Tour in Munich offers an immersive three-hour guided experience at one of the city’s most historic breweries, located on Marsstraße. Beginning at the impressive copper brew kettles, guests are guided through the entire brewing process – from the brewhouse to bottling—while learning about Spaten’s rich history, which dates back to 1397.

The tour also highlights the Sedlmayr dynasty’s influence, the brewery’s mergers (including with Franziskaner in 1922 and Löwenbräu in 1997), and showcases a museum in the vaulted cellar featuring historical barrels, bottles, beer mugs, and memorabilia.

A key highlight of the tour is the beer tasting session in the Spaten brewery tower, offering panoramic views over Munich, including landmarks such as the Bavarian Radio building and the Frauenkirche towers. The experience is suitable for participants aged 16 and over, and intoxicated guests are not permitted for safety reasons. Accessibility is limited; contact the brewery for details.
